Velocys launches AlphaCore 800 for larger SAF and e-fuel projects

Velocys announced AlphaCore 800, a microchannel Fischer-Tropsch reactor designed to produce up to 800 barrels per day, approximately 30,000 tonnes per year, of FT liquids per reactor. The company positions it for SAF and e-fuel projects targeting at least 100,000 tonnes per year, describing design capacity rather than reporting a newly operating fuel plant.

Infinium introduces methane-derived mSAF alongside its CO2-based eSAF platform

Infinium introduced an mSAF pathway combining its Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology with electrically heated methane reforming. Eligible feedstocks include renewable natural gas, biogas, flare gas and other qualified methane streams. The company states that lifecycle carbon intensity must be calculated and independently certified for each project, depending on source, leakage, energy and chain of custody. The mSAF label does not establish one universal emissions reduction or that every listed methane source is renewable.

Infinium Launches mSAF Platform for Methane Feedstocks

Infinium introduced its mSAF platform, converting methane streams into sustainable aviation fuel to complement its eSAF business. The company states the platform uses proprietary Reform technology to improve yield and carbon performance, with carbon intensity certified per project.

FedEx expands contracted SAF procurement across five US airports

Biofuels International reports FedEx agreements expected to secure more than 20 million gallons of neat SAF across five US airports through 2027. Deliveries are projected at 30%–50% blending ratios, depending on location. The volumes describe contracted future neat-fuel procurement, not fuel already delivered, and should not be confused with the larger final blended-fuel volume.
