Neste and United Airlines extended their agreement to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) blended with conventional jet fuel for flights from Chicago O'Hare and Amsterdam Schiphol. Neste's SAF deliveries to Amsterdam began in June 2026, while deliveries to Chicago started in July 2026 and are planned to continue until June 2027.

Infinium introduced an mSAF pathway combining its Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology with electrically heated methane reforming. Eligible feedstocks include renewable natural gas, biogas, flare gas and other qualified methane streams. The company states that lifecycle carbon intensity must be calculated and independently certified for each project, depending on source, leakage, energy and chain of custody. Biofuels International reports FedEx agreements expected to secure more than 20 million gallons of neat SAF across five US airports through 2027. Deliveries are projected at 30%–50% blending ratios, depending on location. The volumes describe contracted future neat-fuel procurement, not fuel already delivered, and should not be confused with the larger final blended-fuel volume.

OMV Petrom says foundations are complete and major columns and reactors have been installed for its EUR 560 million Petrobrazi SAF/HVO unit. The planned 250,000 t/year facility will process vegetable fats and used cooking oils with green hydrogen, with commissioning estimated for 2028. Separate 55 MW electrolyzer modules have also been delivered. Construction progress is established; the announced fuel capacity remains planned.

The European Commission reports that EASA's annual ReFuelEU review recorded 1.1 million tonnes of SAF supplied at EU airports in 2025, representing 2.8% of aviation fuel supplied and exceeding the 2% minimum. The Commission also says about 50 synthetic aviation fuel projects were awaiting final investment decisions. Those planned projects are separate from operational capacity.

Cosmo Oil, SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY, Maruzen Petrochemical and Ube Maruzen Polyethylene announced the use of used-cooking-oil-derived naphtha produced alongside SAF at Sakai. The naphtha supports chemical and polyethylene production, with ISCC PLUS mass-balance allocation. Supply volumes and measured emissions reductions are not disclosed.
