CBOT soybean oil futures fall as EPA biofuel proposal leaves timing unclear
Chicago Board of Trade December soybean oil futures fell 1.34% to 67.11 cents per pound on October 14. The decline followed an EPA proposal to reallocate 100% of renewable-fuel obligations waived through small-refinery exemptions, equal to about 770 million additional RINs, while implementation timing remained unresolved. The U.S. soybean harvest was 46% complete as of October 11, adding seasonal pressure.
