    Saxony-Anhalt biodiesel output fell 11.5% in 2025, official statistics show

    Biodiesel production in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt fell from 695,735 tonnes in 2024 to 615,857 tonnes in 2025, a decline of 11.5%, according to the state's statistical office. Over the longer term output has risen 19.2% since 2014. The state produced 18.3% of Germany's 3,360,061 tonnes of biodiesel in 2025, a share 1.0 percentage point lower than the prior year.
