GAPKI: 2027 palm oil prices may rise as domestic biodiesel use erodes exports

Indonesian palm oil association GAPKI expects palm oil prices to rise in 2027 as strong domestic biodiesel absorption cuts Indonesian exports. Secretary-General Hadi Sugeng Wahyudiono said the shift would tighten the global vegetable-oil balance and could push up cooking-oil and derivative prices at home. GAPKI remains optimistic that 2026 output can reach 58.8 million tons; full 2027 price projections will be presented by global analysts, including Dorab Mistry, at IPOC 2026 in Bali on November 11-13.
