SAF and e-fuel projects
Aether validated an integrated 2.5 barrels/day Aurora SAF demo using RTI’s Fischer-Tropsch reactor. Plug and Arcadia eFuels signed a 280 MW GenEco electrolyzer supply agreement for the ENDOR project at Port of Vordingborg, Denmark, plus a broader e-SAF partnership.
Aether validates integrated 2.5 barrels/day Aurora SAF demonstration
Aether says its integrated demonstration combined 2.5 barrels/day Aurora conversion and upgrading equipment with RTI’s Fischer-Tropsch reactor. Mass-balanced landfill renewable natural gas and industrial CO2 were used as feedstocks, and independent AmSpec testing found the samples met ASTM D 7566 FT-SPK specifications. The results inform the planned 50 barrels/day Project Beacon in Singapore; this is a demonstration milestone, not proof that Beacon has entered commercial production.
Plug and Arcadia eFuels sign 280 MW ENDOR supply agreement and broader e-SAF partnership
Plug signed a 280 MW GenEco electrolyzer supply agreement for Arcadia eFuels' ENDOR project at Denmark's Port of Vordingborg. A separate cooperation framework covers four additional projects with more than 1 GW of potential electrolyzer capacity. ENDOR is still advancing toward final investment decision, and equipment delivery starts only after notice to proceed; this announcement does not establish operating fuel capacity.
Feedstocks and policy
Sakaide City, Cosmo Oil, JGC Holdings, Revo International, and SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY signed a cooperation agreement on 30 September to collect household used oil for Japan’s domestic SAF supply chain. US senators introduced a bill to extend the small agricultural biodiesel producer credit through 2029.
Sakaide begins household used-oil collection for Japan’s domestic SAF supply chain
Cosmo Oil, Sakaide City, JGC Holdings, Revo International and SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY announced a cooperation agreement signed on 30 September. Sakaide opened eight household used-cooking-oil collection points that day; collected oil will be transported to the operating SAF plant in Sakai. The release does not state the expected household collection volume.
US senators propose extending the small biodiesel producer credit to 2029
Clean Fuels Alliance America reports that senators introduced a bill to extend the small agricultural biodiesel producer credit through 2029. The current credit provides $0.20 per gallon on the first 15 million gallons for eligible producers with annual output of up to 60 million gallons. The extension remains a proposal; the association says the existing credit expires on December 31, 2026 unless Congress acts.
